Learn moreExperienced Clinical Care
Psychological difficulties do not always fit neatly into a single diagnostic category.
Anxiety may occur alongside chronic pain, trauma, workplace difficulties, relationship strain, sleep problems or major life changes. For some people, several of these concerns have developed together over many years.
My aim is to understand how the different parts of a person's experience fit together and to develop a practical, collaborative treatment approach that is appropriate to the individual rather than simply to a diagnostic label.
About Denis
I have worked in private psychological practice in Fremantle since 1986.
My clinical work has long been concerned with the relationship between psychological wellbeing, physical health, work, relationships and the wider circumstances of people's lives. I draw on a broad clinical background while keeping the work practical, evidence-based and focused on the needs of the individual.

Different people require different ways of working. I draw upon a broad range of established psychological approaches, selecting and adapting them according to the person, the problem and the goals we agree upon.
Careful assessment and a thoughtful understanding of what is happening.
Evidence-based psychological treatment directed toward meaningful change.
Practical skills, greater self-understanding and more effective ways of responding.
