Psychological difficulties often develop in relation to other parts of a person's life.
Anxiety may occur alongside chronic pain, trauma, workplace difficulties, relationship strain or sleep problems. Depression may arise in the context of illness, grief, injury or major life change. Attention and executive-functioning difficulties may become more obvious when work or family demands increase.
In these situations, a useful clinical understanding depends on looking at the pattern as a whole rather than treating each difficulty as if it were completely separate.
Complex presentations are welcome.
My practice includes cases where mental health concerns overlap with occupational stress, pain, trauma history, relationship strain or functional impairment.
